My Story

Working to make a change.

I have spent most of my life being overweight & although I was always active, in 2013 I was tipping the scales at 24 stone. I knew something had to change so I enlisted into an aided weight loss programme & lost 4 stone, but it was then I developed my passion for health & well-being & staying fit. Once off the programme I kept pushing through and lost another 7 stone. I decided with what I had learnt through my journey I passionately wanted to help others. I made the choice to start my training as a PT. I also decided to go further and obtain additional qualifications in exercise referral amongst a few but also enrolled onto a bachelors degree course at university in Sports Science. I run a private studio & gym sessions from my own premises which are private & discreet for anybody that feels apprehensive & concerned or intimidated about attending a mainstream gym environment. I have a genuine passion to want to help people and I have worked tirelessly to enhance my skills & knowledge ranging from exercise referral from GP's, kettlebells, circuit training, SMT and also I am registered as an advanced Boxercise instructor and also Boxercise for Kids instructor.

GP Exercise Referral

Helping those with special requirements.

An Exercise Referral is a specific and formalised programme whereby a medical professional refers a patient to a fitness programme, often based within the community. It is not the same as a 'recommendation' to exercise. A formal agreement will exist between the referrer and the exercise project. At Aptitude Studio we can offer a unique tailored exercise & nutrition plan based upon a number of medical conditions including, diabetes, obesity, CHD/CVD, Asthma, COPD, Arthritis & Osteoporosis, Hypertension etc. You get the use of the private Gym/Studio where training will be a personal 1-on-1 service with only you as the focus of attention. We understand that some people need additional support and that is exactly where we pride ourselves.

We recognise that everyone is an individual who requires a bespoke personal training programme to achieve their goals.
At Aptitude Studio, you will benefit from dedicated one-to-one sessions, creating a unique dynamic with your personal trainer and allowing you to focus on one thing – your results. We’ll conduct an initial physical analysis to create a regime specifically tailored for you, taking into account current fitness, potential injuries, limitations and nutrition. You will then be guided through an entire programme of health and fitness development, which includes your training inside and outside the gym, your diet and your lifestyle.
